The León Jimenes Connecticut blend has deep roots in Dominican cigar making. According to La Aurora, the blend originally used tobacco exclusively from the Cibao Valley of the Dominican Republic, with Nicaraguan tobacco later incorporated to improve consistency in flavour and aroma. The binder remains tobacco from the Cibao Valley.

The relatively slender 42 ring gauge also gives the No. 4 a different experience from today’s larger Robustos and Gordos. It’s a classic format that places greater emphasis on the wrapper and delivers a refined smoking experience without requiring an exceptionally long session.
